VELLORE: The sale of applications for MBBS and various Bachelor courses in Veterinary Sciences began at the Vellore Government Medical College on Tuesday. College Dean Dr Ravishankar said 500 MBBS applications were sold on the first day. The cost of an application is Rs 500 for general category but it was given free to SC/ST community students. Applications for veterinary Bachelor courses like BVSc, BFSc (fisheries), BFT (Food technology) and BPPM (Poultry Production Management) were also on sale at the Research Centre attached to the Tamil Nadu Veterinary University.here.

The cost of an application is Rs 600 for general candidates and  Rs 300 for SC/ST students. Officials said around 55 applications were sold on the first day.
