Anshul Misra is new Madurai collector

CHENNAI: The State government on Wednesday transferred seven IAS officers including collectors of Madurai and Tiruvannamalai districts besides Joint Chief Electoral Officer Pooja Kulkarni.

CHENNAI: The State government on Wednesday transferred seven IAS officers including collectors of Madurai and Tiruvannamalai districts besides Joint Chief Electoral Officer Pooja Kulkarni.

U Sagayam, Collector of Madurai district will take over as the Special Officer and Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers’ Cooperative Society (Co-optex). Sagayam will be replaced by Anshul Mishra, present Collector of Tiruvannamalai district.

After a long time, Madurai Corporation has got a new Commissioner - R Nanthagopal.

At present, he is functioning as the Special Officer, National Cooperative Sugar Mills, Alanganallur, Madurai district. Pingale Vijay Maruti, Special Officer and Managing Director, Co-optex, will assume charge as the Collector of Tiruvannamalai district.

Pooja Kulkarni, JCEO, on return from leave, will take over as the Deputy Commissioner (Health) of Chennai Corporation.

Braj Kishore Prasad, former joint secretary, Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, will function as the Transport Secretary.  

Chandra Prakash Singh, Secretary/ Commissioner of Archaeology, has been deputed to the Central service.  He will assume charge as  Chairman, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority, Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
