VELLORE: The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary School Vocational Teachers’ Kazhagam has urged the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) to issue the mark list to the students alongside the declaration of results.

State general secretary of the Kazhagam, S N Janardhanan said many  Class XII students had a tough time on Tuesday when the DGE had not supplied the tabulated mark list to the office of the chief educational officer in all districts.

The dependency on electronic media had pressurised the students who had to face power cuts and clogging of the server issues.  The schools had to get the results details from the internet, compile them and send it the CEO.

Because of this approach, the declaration of the district toppers and overall performance was delayed until late evening. This could have been avoided if the DGE had sent the mark lists to the students, he pointed out.
