VELLORE: Pachayammal, a 27-year-old woman from Arcottan Kudusai in Vellore taluk police station limits died on Sunday after she failed to respond to treatment following a suicide bid. She drank pesticide being unable to bear a severe stomach pain, the police said.
Pachayammal, a mother of two children, consumed pesticide last Thursday. She was admitted to the Government Vellore Medical College Hospital. However, she died on Sunday morning after failing to respond to the treatment. A case of unnatural death has been registered.
