PUDUCHERRY : Six special counters have been arranged exclusively to allow the registration of the students, who had passed their higher secondary examination during the academic year 2011-2012, at the employment exchange in the labour department, said labour and welfare minister P Rajavelu on Wednesday.

He said the arrangement had been made to facilitate the registration smoothly and to avoid hardships to the students. The counters would function from 8.45 am to 5 pm without lunch break on all working days.

According to the minister, about 10,500 students registered in the exchange in the period 2010-2011.
