Film fraternity invites Jaya for Indian cinema's centenary fete

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday handed over a cheque for Rs 10 crore to the office-bearers of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) as part the State government’s contribution towards conducting the centenary celebrations of Indian cinema in the city.

Office-bearers of SIFCC called on the Chief Minister at the Secretariat and invited her for the celebrations.

They requested her to inaugurate the event on September 21, present the awards and preside over the valedictory function on September 24. C Kalyan, president, SIFCC, received the State government’s contribution from the CM.
