PDS smuggler held under Goondas Act

Lurdhu Anthony of Palayamkottai in Tirunelveli was detained under the Goondas Act for smuggling ration rice in Cuddalore district.

Cuddalore Civil Supplies CID Wing inspector Senthilkumar along with a  team of cops conducted a vehicle check at Kandarakottai near Panruti on September 15.

During the check, Kannan of Tirunelveli and Lurdhu Anthony were arrested on the charge of smuggling ration rice. The team also seized 315 bags of ration rice.

Collector R Kirlosh Kumar ordered the detention of Lurdhu Anthony under the Goondas Act.
