Spiritual guru Mata Amritanandamayi is to visit Puducherry for the third time on April 15.
Arrangements have been made to receive ‘Amma’ and devotees here are excited about her visit to the Union Territory.
‘Amma’ who is known as ‘Hugging Saint’, will hold discourses and give darshan to the devotees at the make-shift stage at the helipad in Lawspet. As part of the arrangements, Swami Ramakrishnanadapuri inaugurated the reception committee office on Friday.
According to one of the coordinators of the programme, the spiritual guru will arrive in Puducherry at 6.30 pm on April 15 after her programme in Madurai.
According to the programme schedule, ‘Amma’ will be led to Lawspet and a ‘padapuja’ will be performed, followed by discourses. This will go on till 9.30 pm, after which she will give darshan to devotees till April 16. She will then proceed to Chennai en route to Kanyakumari.
According to the co-ordinator, more than 50,000 devotees are expected to converge in Lawspet to seek her blessings.
