Launching a scathing attack on Union Minister V Narayanasamy for spreading false information on the fishermen issue, AIADMK Puducherry unit secretary A Anbazhagan said the Minister is trying to divert the attention on the issue by stating that the Karaikal fishermen were apprehended by the Lankan Navy following complaints by the Tamil fishermen in the Island nation. He said the Congress should make it clear that it was party’s official statement on the issue. He said the Minister’s statement was highly objectionable and was rubbing salt into the wounds of the fishermen.
