A 21-year-model petitioned the police here of alleged cheating by her lover, who confined her to a guest house and allegedly had sex “without her consent.”
The girl, Rani (named changed), hailing from Pudupettai, Chennai, in her petition to the Superintendent of Police, S Ramaraj, alleged Kumar (46) (name changed), working as a location manager in film industry, of sexually exploiting her, by offering roles in films.
Kumar, a resident of Venkata Nagar, had contacted the young woman over mobile a few months ago, and introduced himself as her relative. The location manager told her that he was in love with her and was trying for a divorce from his wife.
On March 10, the accused Kumar asked the young lady to come to Puducherry as he wanted to offer her a role in his film.
The young lady arrived in Puducherry on March 22, following which she was confined to a guest house and Kumar had allegedly had sex without her permission.
Following this, when she asked him to marry her, she was threatened and allegedly warned with dire consequences if she revealed anything.
After realising that she had been cheated, she lodged a complaint, which had been forwarded to the Puducherry All Women Police Station for further investigation.
