Temple fest bull-taming leaves 3 dead

Three persons were killed and 40 injured in a bulltaming (Manju Virattu) event organised on the eve Kandramanickam Manika Nachiamman temple festival near Tirupattur in Sivagangai district on Thursday.

Anbuselvan (29) of Kandavarayanpatti, Andi (35) of Appakudipatti and Muthuswamy (35) of Nayanthanpatti died. Forty others sustained injuries.

The organisers had released nearly 300 bulls for the event, sources said.
