A DMDK functionary was found murdered on a road near Narayanadevanpatti here on Saturday, police said.
Chandiran (38) alias Chinnamurugan, is the Cumbum Union Deputy Secretary of the party.
The body with disfigured face was found near a temple in the road leading to Suruli falls, police said, adding that it had several stab injuries. Though the body was not identified initially, the victim was later proved to be Chandiran, police said.
