After heavy rains in parts of southern TN, wind power generation went down from around 2.400 MW to 46 MW on Thursday morning. To counter the situation in wind power and outage in Vallur and NLC, power plants, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation imposed more than four hours power cut in the State, except Chennai.
On Thursday morning, TANGEDCO received 46 MW from wind mills which have 7,127 MW installed capacity. They produced 976 MW before dawn on Thursday and produced 2,320 MW late night on Wednesday.
