Puducherry ready to resume flights

The Puducherry Airport has got itself readied for the revival of commercial flight operations by SpiceJet on Thursday.

The flight from Bangalore would arrive here at 1.10 pm and take off with passengers to Bangalore at 1.40 pm.

The Airports Authority of India, along with police personnel deputed by the government of Puducherry, conducted trials runs, including security trial and operation trial, said Gunasekharan of AAI, Puducherry.

The SpiceJet officials, including their Vice President, was also at the Airport to take stock of the preparedness and to inspect the other angles of flight operations, before the operation began.

Ticket booking counters would be functioning at the Airport from 9 in the morning  up to 5.30 in the evening.
