Children's Film Fest in Vellore, Tiruvannamalai

The fifth Children’s Film Festival began on Friday in Vellore and Tiruvannamalai districts, with the screening of animated movies depicting importance of education and hard work.

Tiruvannamalai Collector Dr Vijay Pingale inaugurated the film festival in Sakthi theatre in the temple town. A movie about a girl named Kutti was screened. The movie carried the message about the importance of education through Kutti’s character. Students of Tiruvannamalai government girls high school and the teachers enjoyed the movie.

In Vellore, District Revenue Officer A Sundaravalli inaugurated the film festival at Lakhsmi Theatre. An animated movie, Inimey Nangathan, was screened for students. The movie conveyed the message that only hard work could help a person achieve great things in life. The movies would be screened in the cinema theatres for the students in both the districts till April 10.

The movies would also be screened in schools in the remote areas using mini projectors, a press statement from Vellore and Tiruvannamalai district administrations informed.
