Parents help in son’s bid to abduct lover

In a bizarre incident, a government school teacher and his wife were arrested here on Friday for trying to kidnap a college girl in an attempt to help their son’s love affair. Their son too was arrested on the same charges. Police also seized nano car which they used to reach the incident spot.

Dhinesh (22), son of Rajendran, was working in a mobile phone service provider’s office. His father Rajendran was working as a teacher in Kulamangalam PU school, and his mother Saraswathi (38) was a housewife. Praveena, who was studying BCom. in a private college and Dhinesh were in love with each other for the last four years.

Meanwhile, Dhinesh often picked up quarrel with Praveena and she ended the relationship.His parentes who were aware of the love affair and had promised to arrange the marriage after the girl’s studies. They went in a car with his son and stopped the vehicle near the Guru Theatre. Dinesh spotted Praveena and asked her to come with him. When Praveeena tried to leave the place, he tried to pull her to the car. Noticing it, the passersby alerted the police.
