Collector P Sankar inaugurated a special geriatric camp, organised by Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) at Poigai village, near here on Saturday for the benefit of its 48 inmates.
“Elders in a family shower love and blessings on the family members and take the lead to streamline the younger generation. By sending you here, your families are missing out on your good will,” said Sankar, at the inauguration.
He said, regular visits of a medical team would be arranged to monitor the health of the inmates.
