Union Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Office, V Narayanasamy, said the Centre had agreed to bear the cost of Arumbathapuram railway overbridge and the Arasalar bridge.
Addressing reporters here on Sunday, he said that the State government is supposed to bear the 50 per cent of the total cost (Rs 74 crore) of Arasalar bridge.
The minister said the Puducherry-Tirupati Super Fast Express service would begin next month. He informed that the Puducherry-Kanyakumari train, was flagged off by the Union Minister of State for Railways Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy on Sunday evening.
