Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa will leave for Kodanad in the hill district of Nilgiris on Friday, the government said Thursday.

A government press release said she would leave for Kodanad on June 28 and carry on with her official work from there.

Jayalalithaa leaves to the hill station a day after she casts here vote in the Rajya Sabha elections, in which her party's four nominees are assured of a win. Her party AIADMK is also extending support to CPI's D Raja.
