VELLORE: The need for advanced research undertaken in tandem with academia on critical technologies such as space was stressed by Dr K Sivan, director of Liquid Propulsion Systems Center, ISRO while delivering the 23rd Graduation day address at the Thanthai Periyar Government Institute of Technology here on Saturday. Handing over the degree certificates to 365 under graduate and post graduate candidates of the institute on the occasion, he said that research would make India a technology leader.

Urging the engineering graduates to explore space research as a good career option, he asked the students to realize their true potential and ensure they contributed towards nation building just the way  Dr Sarabhai and his team did in those days.
