VELLORE: Demanding cancellation of the suspension orders, around 140 contract workers of BSNL continued their protest for the second consecutive day on Saturday before the office of General Manager, BSNL ,Vellore.
“We work on contract basis as cable operators and handle computers and other file related works. Dearness Allowances (DA) is given once in six months. The new GM said that we will not be given allowance and salary claiming that BSNL was on losse,” said Gnanasekaran, Dist.President of BSNL Contract Workers Association.
