TIRUNELVELI: A duo was arrested for allegedly homo sexually assaulting a 20-year-old youth at Reddiyarpatti near here on Thursday.
Police said, Chandran (name changed) (20) from Reddiyarpatti, was allegedly sexually assaulted by two youth, Dinesh (17) and Jegan (20), on August 5.
When parents confronted Chandran, he narrated them about the duo’s act. Later they questioned Dinesh and Jegan. But, the duo threatened the family with dire consequences. Following a complaint from Chandran, Perumalpuram police arrested Dinesh and Jegan.
Meanwhile, a labourer was arrested on Friday for raping a five-year-old girl, in Tenkasi on Thursday.
In another incident, an auto driver was arrested for raping a girl near Sripuram on Friday.
