‘Quality of Edu Compromised’

COIMBATORE: Academicians have opined that the universities see affiliation as an income generating avenue and quality of education is being compromised. “The CAG accusing BU for not conducting inspection of colleges is the situation which prevails in entire system. Affiliations have become perfunctory function,” says Association of University Teachers vice president K Pandiyan. “There is no single case where a self financing college was denied approval for a new course on ground of not having adequate infrastructure,” he added.
