CHENNAI: US is backing efforts to help create an American-model Consumer Product Safety Authority in India. Delivering the inaugural address of the two-day seminar on Consumer Product safety, which is sponsored by US Consulate in Chennai, Consul General Philip Min said the key goal of the seminar is to plan specific action to create the Authority in India on the lines of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in the United States. He said the seminar is a tangible example of strategic partnership between the two countries.
