SAMBALPUR: Naresh Rout (32) died in an attack by his rivals over past enmity at Tiwari Gali under Khetrajpur police limits on Sunday.
He was rushed to VSS Medical at Burla but was declared brought dead.A case has been registered and further investigation is on.
Reports said Naresh was arrested and sent to jail on the charges of killing his co-villager Binod Palai five years back. He was released from the jail last month and was staying with his in-laws in Bargarh fearing reprisal from rival villagers. On Sunday, Naresh had come to his house in Talbahatapada to meet his mother. When Basudev, the elder brother of Binod, came to know about it, he along with his friends attacked Naresh.
