Now, PMK Sets Terms, Wants to Lead NDA

DHARMAPURI:  Days after MDMK exited from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), PMK leader S Ramadoss on Monday set conditions for continuing in the NDA fold.

Addressing reporters after attending a party function, he said PMK would be part of the NDA only if the BJP accepted it as the leader of the alliance in the State in the next assembly elections.

Meanwhile, he launched a scathing attack on the Karnataka government for “politicising” Hogenakkal issue.

“Every time the Karnataka leaders lose their political popularity, they raise the Hogenakkal issue. In 2008, former chief minister Yeddyurappa raised the issue and reaped rich dividends. Now, Siddaramaiah is following suit. If they claim ownership of Hogenakkal, we will claim possession of Mysore. The Karnataka leaders should avoid making irresponsible statements,” Ramadoss said.
