‘Probe Plaint on Minister’

MADURAI: The Madras High Court (Madurai Bench) has directed the police in Thoothukudi to examine afresh a complaint filed against State Tourism Minister S P Shanmuganathan by one Inbaraj.

The petitioner had alleged that the Minister had an illicit affair with his wife. Consequently, there was a strain in relationship and the woman divorced him. Recently, Shanmuganathan and others allegedly threatened Inbaraj for contacting the woman.

Inbaraj had moved the court seeking a direction to the Sathankulam police to take action on his complaint.
