RAMANATHAPURAM : A +2 student in a government higher secondary school was booked by Nainarkoil police for allegedly slapping the headmaster of the school. The student filed a counter-complaint alleging that he had been caned severely by the headmaster.
Police said, Mani (20), resident of Pagaivendri was allegedly leading other students to disorder by tearing papers and littering them on the floor on Friday. Noticing this, the HM, Murugesan (56) rebuked him and asked him to leave. In response, the boy slapped the headmaster on his cheek twice and threatened him before fleeing. Nainarkoil police has registered a case under sections 294 b (uttering abusive words), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506(i) (intimidation) of the IPC.
