Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa inaugurated the newly constructed buildings of the District Employment Exchange Office (DEEO) in Tiruvannamalai and Vellore districts through video conferencing from the secretariat on Wednesday.

In Vellore, the building was constructed at Keelmanavoor at a cost of `1.50 crore. On the ground floor of the building, it houses the office of the District Employment Officer, a registration hall and a computer room. A ramp and differently-abled friendly toilets have also been constructed to facilitate the differently-abled candidates coming to the office. On the first floor, three training centres, a record room and the office cabin of the Assistant Director (Training) and three cabins have been constructed.

“The administration sanction for the construction of the DEEO was issued on January 2012. We commenced the construction work in the month of September 2012.
