Gnanasekaran, Perarivalan’s father, expressed happiness over the Supreme Court verdict commuting his son’s death penalty to life term, but rued that the ‘delayed justice’ that took away his son’s youthful years. “We were hoping that he would not be punished in this false case. We are happy that the death penalty has been commuted, but real happiness will come only when he is released,” Gyanasekaran said here on Tuesday.
