Jaya Opens New RTOs, Buildings Across TN

Chief Minister has inaugurated completed works and laid foundation for new buildings worth Rs 162.48 crore, opened newly created RTO offices and new buildings established at a cost of Rs 12.80 crore.

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has inaugurated completed works and laid foundation for new buildings worth Rs 162.48 crore, opened newly created RTO offices and new buildings established at a cost of Rs 12.80 crore.

New building for the Directorate of Natural Resources Management with the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and allied laboratories and hostels for the teachers and students all established at a cost of Rs 6.35 crore, 22 modern godowns for storing agricultural produce across the State constructed at a cost of Rs 22 crore, cold storage facility set up at a cost of Rs 1 crore at Virudhunagar, Agmark lab at Theni at as cost of Rs 20 lakh, Farmers Centre at Manachanallur (Rs 1.49 crore), new buildings for Agriculture department in the districts of Tiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri and Perambalur (Rs 4.5 crore) were among those inaugurated by the Chief Minister, through the video conferencing facility at the Secretariat on February 19.

Hostel for girl students at TNAU (Rs 5.27 crore) and new buildings for various offices under the Agriculture Department (Rs 5.93 crore) were some of the initiatives for which the Chief Minister laid foundation.

 She also launched the scheme for providing solar-powered pump sets for farmers. 

The Chief Minister also inaugurated newly created RTO offices, upgraded offices for Transport Department including the office of the Joint Transport Commissioner established at a cost of Rs 66.77 lakh in Srirangam.
