91 PC Kids Get Polio Drops in Second Phase

Nearly 91.33 per cent of children  were administered polio drops in the second phase of polio immunisation campaign in the Union Territory on Sunday. As many as 90,437 children received the drops out of a total target of 99,020.

According to information, in Puducherry,69,971 children were administered the drops out of 77,246 children targeted to receive the vaccine, registering 90.58 per cent.

In Karaikal, 98.31 per cent  were covered (14,770  out of a target of 15,024) while in Mahe it was only 71.12 per cent (1,721 out of 2,420). In Yanam region, it was 91.80 per cent (3,975 out of 4,330).
