Wishes Pour in From a Galaxy of Political Leaders

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Governor K Rosaiah, BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and leaders of various political parties greeted Chief Minister and AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa on her 66th birthday on Monday, even as her party functionaries and cadre celebrated their leader’s birthday by engaging themselves in charitable measures and prayers.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Governor K Rosaiah, BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and leaders of various political parties greeted Chief Minister and AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa on her 66th birthday on Monday, even as her party functionaries and cadre celebrated their leader’s birthday by engaging themselves in charitable measures and prayers.

The Prime Minister called up Jayalalithaa and conveyed his good wishes to her and the AIADMK chief thanked him.  The Governor sent a greeting message and a bouquet to Jayalalithaa .

Meanwhile, Modi wrote on twitter handle: “Birthday greetings to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa ji. I pray for her long life & good health.”

Those who greeted Jayalalithaa included CPI State secretary D Pandian, CPI national secretary D Raja, TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu, CPM State secretary G Ramakrishnan, Cho S Ramaswamy, AIFB State general secretary PV Kathiravan, RPI leader CK Thamizharasan, TMML leader S Sheik Dawood, Indian Union Quaid-e-Milleth leader MG Dawood Miakhan, Peasants Party of India leader K Manikandan and TN Brahmins Association leader P S Ramakrishnan.

Several actors, Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Group of Schools Director YG Parthasarathy, TN Music and Fine Arts University V-C Veena E Gayathri and others greeted her. A Thamizhmagan Hussain, chairman of the TN Wakf Board, cut a 66-kg cake made in the shape of Parliament.  PH Pandian, organising secretary, released a special souvenir to mark the 66th birthday of Jayalalithaa.
