Solution to NREGS Pay Soon: Collector

VELLORE: Collector R Nanthagopal on Sunday said the issues related to delayed disbursement of salaries to the beneficiaries of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme would be sorted out within a day or two.

He said this while chairing a special grama sabha meet at Thirumalpur in Nemili Union. He said the district administration had  selected as many as 387 households in the village to construct individual latrines.The work would commence soon.

He urged the villagers to close the unused and abandoned borewells. Later, the Collector and officials explained and discussed about several welfare schemes of the State government.
