VELLORE: The annual revenue audit or Jamabandhi will be conducted in Vellore district across 11 taluks from June 4 to June 27. According to an official statement, the Jamabandhi would be held on June 4 in six taluks and on June 18 in five taluks as per the following schedule.
District Collector Nanthagopal would chair the jamabandhi for the Vellore taluk starting from June 4 to June 10, while the District Revenue Officer would chair the same in Ambur taluk from June 18 to 24.
The Vellore Revenue Divisional Officer would chair the jamabandhi at Gudiyattam (June 18 to 26), Assistant Commissioner of Excise at Katpadi (June 4 to 13), Special Deputy Collector of stamp duty at Tirupattur (June 4 to 11), Tirupattur Sub-Collector at Vaniyambadi (June 4 to 10), Ranipet Revenue Divisional Officer at Arakkonam (June 4 to 26), District Adi-Dravida Welfare Officer at Wallajah (June 4 to 12), Special Deputy Collector of social security scheme at Arcot (June 18 to 27), Additional PA to Collector (Lands) at Anaikattu (June 18 to 24) and District Inspection Cell Officer at Natrampalli (June 18 to 20).
During the audit, petitions regarding land tax accounts, patta transfers and copy, government welfare schemes etc., would be received from the presiding officers. Petitions should be submitted from the villagers on the dates allotted for them.
