MADURAI:  In a strange incident, an SETC bus driver bit the lip of another public transport bus driver over a petty quarrel in Tirumangalam on Wednesday.

The victim, A Azhagumalai Kannan of Tirumangalam, was a driver of a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus plying between Tirumangalam and Pullamuthur and was about to start from the bus stand when a delux State Express Transport Corporation bus plying between Virudhunagar and Chennai  was parked by driver S Ganeshan (54) in a way that blocked the route of the former, police sources said.

Azhagumalai wanted Ganeshan to clear the way for the bus loaded with passengers, following which a bitter argument erupted between the duo and an angry Ganeshan bit the lips of Azhagumalai who was sent to Tirumangalam GH.  Police registered a case against Ganeshan and arrested him.
