Less Turnout at Entrance Test in JIPMER

PUDUCHERRY: There was less turnout for this year’s JIPMER entrance examination with only 58,103 of the 93,334 applicants appearing at the centres on Sunday.

JIPMER dean Dr Mahadevan attributed the reduced number of candidates to other All India competitive exams held the same day.     

The exam was conducted in 276 venues across 36 cities in the country with seven cities in north zone, 17 in south zone, eight in east zone and four in west, on online mode for 150 MBBS seats.
