BU Gets UGC Nod for Two New Courses

COIMBATORE: The Bharathiar University has got the University Grants Commission’s nod to offer two BVoc (Bachelor of Vocation) programmes in its constituent colleges this academic year.

According to V-C G James Pitchai, the UGC gave permission to offer BVoc in Business Process and Data Analytics, and in Multimedia and Animation. The apex body also granted `1.85 crore to start the courses.

The Bharathiar University has a constituent college each in Valparai (Coimbatore), Gudalur and Modakurichi (Erode).
