Guwahati Boy Tops JIPMER Entrance

PUDUCHERRY: Anuran Mukherjee from Guwahati, who secured 172/200 marks topped the merit list of the unreserved seats in the JIPMER Entrance Examination for admission to the MBBS course.

The exam was conducted on June 8 in 376 venues across 36 cities in the country. A total number of 93,292 eligible candidates registered for the entrance exam, but only 58,103 of them took it.

Aravind Subramanian from Kozhikode with 162 marks topped the list of the OBC non-creamy layer category.  Vignesh Narayanan R with 168 marks from Bangalore topped among Scheduled Caste candidates.

Uday Teja Devarankonda with 156 marks from Chittoor topped the list of Scheduled Tribe candidates. Deepak Ranjan Malla with 149 marks from Bhuvaneswar topped the disabled category. Girija Agarwal with 167 marks from Bangalore topped the NRI students merit list. Among the Puducherry students, Vijay Krishnan with 149 marks topped unreserved students, while S Naveen with 143 marks topped the OBC non-creamy group. R Anirudh with 145 marks topped among SC candidates from Puducherry.
