Load Shedding Schedule Announced

The power demand exceeds the rated capacity of the power transformers, as such it is essential to suitably restrict the loading. As a result, it is proposed to impose load shedding. Following is the schedule for first three days from June 22:

PUDUCHERRY: The Electricity Department has announced daily load shedding from 6.30 pm to 12 am midnight till July 5. According to a release from the executive engineer of the department, the power demand had increased exponentially in the Puducherry urban and semi-urban areas and the power transformers at Marapalam sub-station are being loaded to its maximum capacity.

June 22: Mill feeder (6.30 pm - 7.25 pm), Amaravathy and New feeder (7.25 pm - 8.20 pm), Rajnivas feeder (8.20 pm - 9.15 pm), Town feeder (9.15 pm - 10.10 pm), Nellithope feeder (10.10 pm - 11.05 pm), Ariyankuppam feeder (11.05 pm - 12.00 am). June 23: Amaravathy and New feeder (6.30 pm -  7.25 pm), Rajnivas feeder (7.25 pm - 8.20 pm), Town feeder (8.20 pm - 9.15 pm), Nellithope feeder (9.15 pm - 10.10 pm), Ariyankuppam feeder (10.10 pm - 11.05 pm), Mill feeder (11.05 pm - 12.00 am)

June 24: Rajnivas feeder (6.30 pm - 7.25 pm), Town feeder (7.25 pm - 8.20 pm), Nellithope feeder (8.20 pm - 9.15 pm), Ariyankuppam feeder  (9.15 pm - 10.10 pm), Mill feeder (10.10 pm -11.05 pm), Amaravathy and New feeder(11.05 pm - 12.00 am).
