PUDUCHERRY: The Lieutenant Governor, Virendra Kataria met the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi recently, to discuss the developmental plans in the UT and Public Distribution System. Earlier the LG had also met the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee to secure more funds for developmental schemes. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, another delegation of the BJP leaders from Puducherry led by M Visweswaran, called on Union Railways Minister Sadanand Gowda and Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Sripad Mahapatra.
