1,460 Workers to be Taken Back, Says CM

Chief Minister N Rangasamy said that 1,460 employees would be reinstated in PWD and veterinary college on March 3. This includes 1,311 daily rated employees of PWD and 109 workers of Rajiv Gandhi College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, retrenched from their posts in 2011, he said at a press meet on Saturday.

The government had also decided to provide jobs on compassionate grounds to the wards of 137 PWD workers who died in service, Rangasamy said.
