Chief Minister and AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday appointed a 124-member team for all the 40 parliamentary constituencies in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

The team comprises Ministers, MPs, MLAs and senior functionaries of the party.   In a statement here, Jayalalithaa said already she had appointed several functionaries as election in-charges on September 16, 2013.  Now, some changes have been made in this list and many more functionaries have been added.

“Since the current Lok Sabha elections are of paramount importance to the party, the AIADMK functionaries and cadre should engage themselves in a full-fledged manner in the election works to ensure the victory of the party candidates”, the AIADMK supremo said. Ahead of all other political parties, the AIADMK chief has already released the list of candidates and the party’s election manifesto.

Jayalalithaa has commenced her campaign for the Lok Sabha elections.
