According to police, Rajan Babu son of Nagal Raj, the owner of Carnival resort, a hotel situated at Naidupu-

ram in Kodiakanal sub division incurred heavy loss in business. He asked Selva Ganesh, son of Selva Raj, hailing from Silappadi, in Dindigul to lend `10 crore.

Selva Ganesh along with 11 others including Varichaiyur Selvam (45) met the owner of Carnival resort with a big suitcase. They said they had brought `1 crore and demanded 30 lakh as brokers charges. After finding the suitcase with `1,000 currency notes on the upper layer and fake pink papers inside the suitcase, Selva Ganesh started shouting at the persons. The eleven persons threatened Selva Ganesh with weapons and hotel doc-

uments. After seeing the approaching hotel employees they fled from the place.” 

Acting on the complaint from Rajan Babu, a cheating case has been filed against the 11 persons. Ten of them were arrested and sent to judicial custody.
