MLA's Men Go on the Rampage, Booked

A few supporters of Ambur MLA Aslam Batcha damaged a car belonging to a city resident after a petty quarrel, police said. The quarrel broke out between Batcha’s car driver and the resident Mahesh in a petrol bunk at Kadaperi near Tambaram when he tried to overtake Batcha’s car.

Both Mahesh and Batcha lodged complaints against each other with the Tambaram police.

CCTV recording at the petrol bunk revealed that it was the MLA’s men who  were aggressive and went on the rampage, damaging Mahesh’s car.  Batcha did not even try to restrain his men.

The police have registered two cases and are further investigations are on.
