Runaway Girl Rescued

A 10-year-old who was found wandering in Natrampalli was handed over to the government supported Ujjawala Children and Women Rehabilitation Home in Tirupattur on Wednesday.

Rajapanneerselvam, the director of the home said, the girl was handed over to him by the Natrampalli police. She had identified herself as Tahira of Bargur in Krishnagiri district. Enquiries revealed that she had studied up to class IV and after the death of her parents, she was brought up by her aunt. The girl ran away from her home when her aunt beat her, recently.
