The Sri Lankan navy detained 25 fishermen of Rameswaram along with their five mechanized boats in mid sea on Wednesday.
The source said, around 628 boats have ventured into sea for fishing from Rameswaram jetty and they were surrounded by Lankan navy near Katchatheevu. They took the 25 Rameswaram fishermen under their custody. The detained fishermen were taken to Thalaimannar shore.
Meanwhile, the 32 fishermen, arrested by the Lankan navy, reached Karaikal port on Wednesday night.
