The Student Federation of India (SFI) Tamil Nadu unit leader Rajmohan has condemned the move of the Teachers’ Association, to divert the attention away from the issue of the recent sexual abuse of two girls by a teacher.

The youth leader alleged that instead of addressing the problem, attempts are being made to divert attention away by complaining against the students, who protested against the teacher accused in the case.

In a statement, Rajmohan said that the association, instead of seeking punishment for the accused teacher, was attempting to conceal the facts by attempting to implicate the students and members of the Women’s Wing,  that had participated in the protest, at the teacher’s residence.
