3 Held for Murder

Three persons including the wife of a notorious history-sheeter booked under Goondas Act and  his son were arrested by the police. They  were suspected to have been involved in the murder of a painter reported last week at Semmencherry,

Police said the three were picked up from their house in the suburbs where they had taken shelter after murdering Mohan, a painter and resident of Tsunami Nagar on March 17. Two others involved in the murder had turned up in a court in Tambaram earlier. The murder was the outcome of a previous enmity following a clash involving the painter and Dhimmas alias Lakshmanan, a few months ago over a gambling issue. Dhimmas who was a history-sheeter was slapped with Goondas Act and was lodged in Puzhal Prison. His wife Vijaya, her son Saravanan and his friend Vijayakumar hatched plans and executed the murder.
