MDMK chief Vaiko on Sunday sought to pep up his cadre by tying his victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Virudhunagar to the cause of the Tamil Diaspora.

Claiming he was in the past indifferent to outcomes at the hustings, he said this time around he was determined to make it so as to serve the Diaspora, particularly those in Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka.

The MDMK leader said that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would definitely win 320 seats and the Congress party would face a massive defeat in the elections.

Upping the star campaigner quotient, he said that following his request, DMDK founder Vijayakant was coming to Virudhunagar on April 2 to campaign for him. Senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani too is scheduled for a Virudhunagar campaign on April 5, he added.

He said he has appointed several secret surveillance teams called ‘Vizhigal Amaippu’ in order to monitor the work of his party members and also the working of the other party men. He pointed out that he has been organising several protests for the people over the years and that he wanted to give voice to the Tamil people in Parliament. He said he has been following the path of former Tamil Nadu CM Annadurai till now.
